Borehole Installation

Reliable groundwater access for your property

Unreliable municipal water and expensive tanker deliveries cost Kenyan households and farms thousands every month. A professionally drilled borehole gives you a private, long-term water source, typically lasting 30+ years with proper maintenance.

How It Works

1

Hydrogeological Survey

Our team assesses your site using geological maps and local well data to determine the best drilling location and expected yield.

2

Drilling & Casing

We drill to the required depth using rotary or DTH methods and install PVC or steel casing to protect the borehole from collapse and contamination.

3

Pump Installation & Testing

We install the right submersible pump, run a 24-hour pumping test to confirm yield, and connect your system to storage tanks and distribution.

Pricing Guidance

Starting from KES 350,000 for a standard residential borehole (80-150m depth). Costs vary by depth, geology, and access. Institutional boreholes from KES 800,000.

Frequently Asked Questions

How deep will my borehole be?
Depth depends on your location and water table. In Nairobi and Central Kenya, boreholes typically range from 100-300m. Coastal areas may be as shallow as 30-80m. Our survey determines the optimal depth.
How long does drilling take?
Typical residential boreholes take 3-7 days to drill and case. Deeper or geologically complex sites may take up to 2 weeks. Pump installation and commissioning adds 1-2 days.
Do I need a permit?
Yes, the Water Resources Authority (WRA) requires a permit for all boreholes in Kenya. We handle the application process as part of our service.
What if the borehole is dry?
Our hydrogeological survey minimizes this risk. If a borehole fails to produce adequate water, we discuss options including deepening or relocating at reduced cost.
How much water will my borehole produce?
Yield depends on the aquifer. Typical residential boreholes produce 1-5 m³/hour. We conduct a pumping test to confirm the sustainable yield before commissioning.
